My Awesome Con Schedule
This coming weekend I will be at Awesome Con, a show I’ve come to enjoy. I had to skip last year due to my graduate classes but am back. I will have a table in Artists’ Alley, selling an assortment of books and chatting with whoever stops by.
Additionally, I will be moderating three panels over the show’s first two days. Here’s my schedule for those interested:
Friday, 6:30-7:15 p.m. in room 152.
When a new writer is brought on to a series or a character, what happens? Do they read everything ever published, ignore it all and start fresh? Join Robert Greenberger as he finds out the secrets from Joe Harris, John Layman, and Jeremy Whitley.
Saturday, Noon-12:45 p.m. in room 152.
Panel Description: Are there dream characters, dream publishers, writers, artists, stories that creators still lust after? What might those opportunities look and sound like? Jeremy Whitely, Daniel Govar, and John Layman explore the matter with moderator Robert Greenberger.
Keeping it Fresh
Saturday, 2:00-2:45 p.m. in room 103.
Panel Description: How do veteran artists keep themselves fresh and interested in sequential storytelling? When do they need to recharge? Do they take classes? Danial Govar, Jim Caliafore, and Dan Parent chat with Robert Greenberger to look at the visual side of comics.
