Somehow we’re already one month into 2019 and just days away from the first convention. I, along with most of Crazy 8 Press, will be at Farpoint in lovely Hunt Valley, Maryland.
The big thrill for me personally is having the chance tohear and hopefully meet Wallace Shawn. While beloved for his work in The Princess Bride, his line ofcredentials is extensive, in and out of our beloved genre. He’s a brilliant man and an interesting writing soI can only imagine the things he’s capable of discussing on stage.
Meantime, I have a reasonable schedule of activity for theweekend. For those attending, here’s where you can find me:
Friday
10 p.m.-Midnight

Book Fair, a.k.a. Meet the Authors. We’ll all have tablesand books to sell and things to sign and gossip to share. I’ll have anassortment of my output including the first two 100 Greatest Moments books.
Saturday
10-11 a.m.
Valley Room. Accompanied by my trained corpse Glenn Hauman, I will catch everyone up on teaching, writing, and of course, the current Kickstart campaign for Thrilling Adventure Yarns, running through February 19.
Noon – 2 p.m.
All Kinds of Writing Workshop, Salon C. I’ll join HowardWeinstein, Dave Galanter, and Bob Jones once more as we help new writers figureout how to do what we do. Dave brings the smoke, I bring the mirrors. KellyMeding usually is part of the gang but can’t be here so playing her role willbe the effervescent Kelli Fitzpatrick.
4-5 p.m.

Crazy 8 Press, Salon C. Mike Friedman, Aaron Rosenberg, Peter David, Mary Fan, Russ Colchamiro, the late Glenn Hauman, and I will be on hand to chat about where we have been, and what to expect in 2019, including, in case you missed it, Thrilling Adventure Yarns.
Sunday
10-11 a.m.
The Bob & Howie Show, Valley Room. Once again, we’re theonly guests the con can count on to be alert enough to do programming thisearly on a Sunday. We’ll be regaling you with tales of our current projects, our thoughts on various movies and television programs, and other things thatcatch our fancy.
11-12 p.m.
Shows of the CW, Salon A. I’ve been asked to moderat this freewheeling discussion with panelist Don Sakers and whoever else I can dragoon to join us. The panel description says we’ll confine our comments to the DC Comics-related series but my contempt for Riverdale may make into the conversation as well.
