Farpoint was once October Trek and ClipperCon in terms of those who founded and ran each iteration of the media convention that was either in October or February. This year, Farpoint celebrates its 30th and rather than being seen as the little sibling to Shore Leave, it has forged its own identity. Their guest line-up favors voice actors and only one or two major names. It’s welcoming, as always, to the local authors and makes for a great excuse to see one another.
This year, Crazy 8 Press will be doing things a little differently. First of all, fans of Peter David know he is in recovery from his late 2022 heart attack. As a result, he will not be present. (Ten years ago, he made a surprise appearance just after recovering from his stroke, but a repeat performance was not in the cards.)
We’re also going to have twice as much table space as usual, and this year we’ll be located in the main dealers room, which lets Aaron Rosenberg, Mary Fan, Russ Colchamiro, Mike Friedman, Hildy Silverman, Glenn Hauman, and me spread out our wares. And that’s a good thing since I believe Mike will have The Phenomenons: Season of Darkness, and (if the printing gods are kind) I will have Thrilling Adventure Yarns 2022 on hand, making their debuts. Russ will have Hot Ash: An Angela Hardwicke Sci-Fi Mystery, which was published since the last con

I have a relatively light schedule, so that means more time to hang at the table, selling books, signing autographs, kissing babies, whatever.
Those in attendance can find me here:
Bob Greenberger – Saturday 10:00 AM – Valley Ballroom
I’ll ramble for a bit about what I’m up to, and then Glenn Hauman will entertain us all with the latest movie and TV trailers.
Crazy 8 Press – Saturday 4:00 PM – Salon D
2023 is looking to be a packed year. Come find out what we have cooking.
Sandman – Season 1 – Saturday 5:00 PM – Salon A
I really enjoyed the Netflix adaptation so look forward to chatting about this with a handful of peers.
Bob And Howie Show – Sunday 10:00 AM – Valley Ballroom

Now in its fifth decade, Howard Weinstein and I bicker, banter, and boast about whatever we’re working on, watching, and so on.
Strange New Worlds And Predetermination – Sunday NOON – Salon A
Is Captain Pike’s fate predetermined? A handful of experts argue before your very eyes.
