The best part of Baltimore Comic-Con is seeing old colleagues and friends, catching up, and trading stories (okay, gossip). I do my part by moderating panels and this year, I don’t have a particularly full schedule, although I will be panelist on two others, so it’s busy enough.
If you happen to be at the show, here’s where you can find me:
Friday

Peter David Remembered 6 – 6:45 337
Emily Whitten will moderate as Ron Marz, Mike Gold, Jim Calafiore, Steve Saffel, and I share memories.
Saturday
It’s Love’s Illusions I Recall 12 – 12:45 337
I will chat with romantics Barbara Friedlander, Dan Parent, Thom Zahler, and Tom King about the enduring nature of the comic genre.

DC Comics: 90 Years of Innovation 1 – 1:45 343 – 344
Bob Harrison walks Barbara Friedlander, Mike Gold, John Workman, Mark Waid, and me down memory lane.
Tom King Spotlight 2 – 2:45 339 – 342
We know each other casually, and I certainly respect his work on Batman, Supergirl, Trinity, Love Everlasting, and so on. Now, we get to discuss our work in front of everyone.

Superman: From Page to Screen 4 – 4:45 337
With a smashing success on screen, Superman remains cool and relevant. Former writers Louise Simonson, Phillip Kennedy Johnson, James Robinson, and I will talk about all things Man of Steel.
My Secret Origins 6 – 6:45 337

Everyone has stories of those early days, transitioning from fan to pro. Here, Mark Buckingham, Phillip Kennedy Johnson, and Joe Staton share their stories.
Sunday
Barbars Friedlander 1 – 1:45 338
Barbara Friedlander was a staff editor in the late 1950s and early 1960s, an interesting period for DC and her work on the romance comics influenced a generation. Now she spills the dirt on those days.
Phillip Kennedy Johnson Spotlight 2 – 2:45 343 – 344
Phillip Kennedy Johnson has soared with Superman and smashed with the Hulk among other characters. We’ll talk about his craft and experiences with DC and Marvel.
